Day 4 - The Grand Egyptian Museum

(B/L)

You'll take breakfast early this morning before being accompanied by a highly qualified local English-speaking Egyptologist for the drive back to the Giza Plateau.

Today's full-day private tour takes you to the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Eagerly awaited and highly anticipated, the Grand Egyptian Museum promises to offer more than anyone could possibly imagine.

Following last evenings informative briefing by  Dr. Tarek Tawfik, Associate Prof. of Egyptology at Cairo University, and former Director General of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project you'll quickly become accustomed to the 'lay-of-the-land' so to speak.

But you're accompanied by a highly qualified Egyptologist who will guide you through the grand galleries and exhibits, paying particular attention to the 'Treasures of King Tutankhamun' many of which are being seen by the public for the first time since their discovery in November 1922.

You'll enjoy lunch at one of the onsite establishments before wandering off on your own to view artifacts from dynasties that are of particular interest to you.

Later, when you've all had your fill of the spectacle that is the Grand Egyptian Museum, you return to your hotel for a very well earned and deserved evening at leisure.

Bathe in the knowledge that you were one of the very first visitors to the Grand Egyptian Museum. It will surely become one of those thrilling stories that travelers of distinction like yourself will delightfully talk about for many a year to come.

Rest well - Cairo still has much to offer, and you're going to see it all!
